The Worcester Educational Development Fund (WEDF) is seeking a mission-driven Executive Director to lead strategy, grow funding, and expand opportunity for Worcester Public Schools students and educators.
Reporting to the Board of Directors, this role serves as WEDF’s chief ambassador — driving fundraising, strengthening partnerships, overseeing operations, and ensuring measurable impact across programs and events.
What You’ll Lead
Strategy & Vision
Set and execute a clear strategic direction aligned with Worcester Public Schools, translating vision into measurable goals and outcomes.
Fundraising & Grants
Build and lead comprehensive fundraising strategies. Cultivate donors and sponsors. Oversee grant development, submission, and reporting.
Community & Communications
Serve as primary liaison to WPS and community partners. Elevate WEDF through digital communications, outreach, and public engagement.
Signature Events & Programs
Oversee major initiatives including the WPS Distinguished Alumni Awards and the WPS Athletic Hall of Fame. Measure and report program impact.
Financial & Governance Oversight
Ensure strong budgeting, financial reporting, audit compliance, and board partnership.

Compensation
- $65,000 base salary
