Each year, the Worcester Educational Development Foundation (WEDF) proudly hosts the Distinguished Alumni & Friends of the Worcester Public Schools Awards, honoring graduates and community members who have made exceptional contributions in their fields and to society.
This annual celebration highlights the achievements of Worcester Public Schools (WPS) alumni across diverse professions, including education, medicine, business, public service, social impact, and the arts. In addition to recognizing professional accomplishments, the awards shine a light on the educators, mentors, and community support systems that helped shape their journeys.
The Distinguished Alumni Awards not only celebrate individual success but also serve as an inspiration to current Worcester students, showing them that their education can open doors to limitless opportunities.
By recognizing leaders who embody excellence, service, and community commitment, WEDF strengthens the vital connection between Worcester Public Schools and the broader community, reinforcing the message that strong schools build strong communities.
The 2026 Distinguished Alumni & Friends event will take place on Thursday, October 15 at the Hogan Center, College of the Holy Cross. Cocktails & Conversation at 5:30pm with Dinner & Program to follow at 6:30pm. Please join us!
