Call for Alumni Nominations

In 2011, WEDF established the Distinguished Alumni of the Worcester Public Schools Achievement Awards.

These awards honor and recognize Worcester Public Schools alumni who:

  • + Have made exemplary contributions to their professional fields, the greater Worcester Community, the Worcester Public Schools, and/or the betterment of society as a whole
  • + Have achieved outstanding success in academics, the arts, business, community service, humanitarian efforts, research, and other fields
  • + Serve as a distinguished role model for Worcester Public Schools students

Honorees will be recognized at a banquet on the evening of October 15, 2026. The committee seeks a diverse representation of alumni who have been successful in their career or avocation.

Nominees must have attended the Worcester Public Schools. Current employees of the Worcester Public Schools, the City of Worcester, and individuals currently holding an elected office are excluded from nomination. Current WEDF board members and their families and current WEDF employees or contractors and their families are also excluded.
